During my recent stay at the Angel, located conveniently on the high street, I experienced a unique blend of luxury and practicality. The hotel offers spacious and clean accommodations, although some features could enhance privacy, such as a proper window blind for the bathroom. While the room's elevated position provided a pleasant view, reaching it required navigating three flights of stairs, which felt excessive after a long day of exploring. The complimentary electric kettle and flat-screen TV added to the room's comfort, but be sure to sort your parking pin before arriving. The on-site restaurant provided a decent evening meal, albeit the service lagged, likely due to understaffing, and breakfast fell short of expectations. Though certain aspects seemed misaligned with the hotel's premium price, the friendly staff and central location make it a reasonable choice for nature lovers seeking a quiet retreat. Opt for this hotel if you prioritize the balance between luxury and value but manage expectations regarding meal service.
